Walking on God’s Pathway: The Way of Holiness and Justice

Adam’s fall from grace is a tragic event in human history that serves as a stark reminder of our inherent frailty. This fatal blunder destroyed our once-pure nature, plunging humanity into total depravity. Today, the resulting iniquity, disobedience, revolt, and injustice harm the very foundation of human morality, reinventing the entire human nature. As a result, Adam’s offspring are born into a world in which genuine righteousness and justice are elusive, and separating truth from deception, right from wrong, and godliness from ungodliness is a constant struggle.

Nonetheless, God’s compassion and grace serve as a beacon of hope for lost humanity, promising to restore peace between humanity and God, the true wellspring of righteousness and justice.

Far beyond the confines of hopelessness, God’s boundless compassion and grace began the plan for humanity’s redemption in Jesus Christ. Considering this depravity, Jesus announced that the Kingdom of God had arrived, and those who believe in Him must turn to walk with Him on the narrow road of righteousness and justice in submissive faith, carrying their crosses daily.

Following the Lord is choice, necessitating a genuine sense of God’s holiness and moral superiority, which encompasses two types of righteousness: positional and virtuous. While the former is attained through faith in Christ’s sacrificial death rather than through works or merit, the latter is attained through consistent cultivation of self-discipline and self-control, alignment with God’s justice and moral standards, with a renewed desire to live for Christ.

Claiming to be a new creature in Christ without openly displaying behavioral, or virtuous uprightness, alongside holy living, is a silly theological farce woven with strings of disobedience, rebellion, and rejection of truth, showcased via the dishonest way of hypocrisy.

A Relational Fellowship: Pursuing a Covenant Relationship with God

God laid the foundation of human existence in the fabric of relationships with vertical and lateral components for survival and well-being. The vertical component establishes a spiritual connection with God the Creator, from which man derives energy for the lateral component. The lateral component establishes living paradigms and outlines healthy development and maintenance rules, obligations, and responsibilities. Therefore, whether vertically or laterally, human relationships are designed to be a two-way street, requiring reciprocal obligation or joint action.

In “A Relational Fellowship: Pursuing a Covenant Relationship with God,” the author inspires the reader to embrace new birth as the sovereign act of God’s grace that breaks the grip of sin on the believer to release him from human depravity so that he could share in God’s nature to serve Him acceptably and profitably.
The author conveys that a relational fellowship with God goes beyond believing in Him to being in accord with Christ in all viewpoints, interests, desires, and conduct.
